Aldi WORKZONE tools are great!

I'm increasingly impressed with the variety, price and quality of tools etc that regularly churn a la Aldi special buys.

Went in today and got this brilliant kit for £9.99. The weight of the tools and quality feel mean they're ideal and well worth picking up.

Between owning a RR, picking tips up on this forum and Aldi special buys Laughing

... I've now got quite a range of tools for a wide array of jobs.

So what jobs can I find to so I can tinker with the car and use my tools... I feel a separate post looming Whistle

Thumbs Up

i haven't used Aldi, for tools, but have seen various pieces on 'Man-wear' in the isles, ie trolley jacks, axes, weed sprayers. and such...
however, i have in the past, bought socket sets from Halfords...
dont laugh...
they come with a 'lifetime guarantee' which could be compared to some premium brands of professional tools.
for the layman, and general use, they work well. you can get them in the sort of chunky dedicated boxes, that dont fall apart, and, the best bit, if you lose say one socket, you can buy each one, individually, in the shop.
Add to this the various items not in the typical 3/8 set. ie torx sockets, ratchet ring spanners, and some special setting tools. and you can get a decent amount of DIY tools and rest assured, that they are going to last. -keep your receipts, and the guarantee is valid. so long as there are say no hammer marks, and the like.
some of the typcal chinese tools and odd things, you see at markets, are useful for certain sundries, and even day to day stuff. so, its worth considering a small investment.
cheap trolley jacks, do need to be thought about carefully, again. check what you need, and use something you can trust. With some axle stands, and some youtube lessons, anyone, be able to get themselves through a few minor jobs.

Yes, Halfords good also for the DIYer Thumbs Up

Think all Workzone tools come with a 3 year guarantee and they are very good quality for a DIYer.

Machine Mart, Screwfix, Tool Stn etc all do some decent value tools too (I tend to go off online reviews and there are always plenty of reviews to convince me!).

I used the Aldi acquired WZ 2.5 HP compressor for the first time this week and for under 50 quid, it is fab.

The little kit this post relates to looks like it will be great for getting into smaller places where larger sets would not fit and it has adaptors to ensure you are able to use the right size socket. Handy little carry case too. Ten quid!

Thumbs Up

it' a good idea to have just a small amount of general tools in a bag in the boot somewhere. syay, under the loadcover... even a small digital voltmeter. if you cant use them, its likely some helpful person, could.
