Something that I noticed after I had washed my beast.
The top half of left hand tail light was on.
Checked that I hadn't turned on lights...nope.
Had all doors and tailgate open to drain water..
Closed all doors, tail light still on.
Put beast back under carport and no tail light on.
Is this something that RRs do as I've never had it happen before.(Had the car 2 years)

The lights were replaced with new ones October last year after I was rear ended.

Are you sure you didnt turn on the "park light" by mistake?

Engine off and indicator stork left in the right turn/left turn position will turn on the side lights of the corresponding position.

If its the top half? That would mean the brake lamp... Parking light should only illuminate the bottom half

Hopefully the OP has made a mistake and it was as simple as a parking light If not, i would suspect a water leak (when washing) into the OSF behind the bonnet pull, as thats where the LCM is situated... Pull it out and check for any current or historic water ingress symptoms sir

as the tail light has two bulbs in the lower part i wonder if the OP means the top one of the two .. ... - .- -.

It was the TOP half and yes I had the indicator pointing down.

But its not on anymore as I've put it to bed for the night.
