Hopefully, I have made the right decision.

Its been on my mind for some time to get the old girl remapped to make it more driveable - specifically, I'm after something that give me better low down torque (so it doesn't feel like I am thrashing the thing to get it moving) and a better feel to cruising and overtaking (although of course I understand the revs wont drop on a cruise at say 70-80mph...how can they.)

Anyway, I initially called up JE Engineering and was a little bit concerned that they couldn't really help me today to answer my questions, and I just felt a little cold at the outcome. To be fair, I could have phoned back after easter for a better response. I then called up Alive Tuning, recalling when I had my Td5 disco that TD5 alive was THE tuning firm to go to, also read on here about the good results some had had.

Immediately, I felt like they knew what they were talking about and I like the approach to tailoring the remap to my needs. Good chat and happy with the price they've quote, so, its booked in for the 30th March with them for a bit of a fettle!

Looking forward to the results. I'll keep notes on here once its been done as to the outcome!.

I had my TD6 done by JE Engineering and was very happy.

I had my TD5 Disco done by Gary at Alive Tuning, though I think it was TD5 Alive then.

Well pleased with the result, so I am sure you will be happy if they do your TD6.

Gary has mapped my Disco 3 to Stage 2, the wife's Freelander 2, and will be going for a Stage 3 upgrade to my Td5 Defender
