Try to get the buildsheet of the car and it should show what the car was specced with. If the V5 says VSE it probably is. Also try to dig up the original specs for that model in 2011 and see what was supposed to be standard and what was optional. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

RSE; rear seat entertainment?

Mine was sold to me, and is badged as, as a VSE. Mine has no rear screens, ski hole, nor adaptive headlamps though, only heated and cooled seats. The paperwork, V5 etc. all states VSE.

As a 2011 TdV8 then, what would the expected differences be between a Vogue, and a Vogue SE? Should it have rear screens, a ski hole and adaptive headlamps? Can I find out for sure what it is/what it was when it left the factory? I would hate to think I had been mis-sold the car - even though I am not especially in need of the missing features.

Does yours have rear passengers double glazing? I bet it probably does as your missing RSE & Adaptive lights etc...

So, the moral of the story is! Buy an early 2011 or late 2010 4.4 engined car and it comes kitted up! The later in 2011 you go, the less spec you get AS STANDARD!!!

Mine appears to be a 05/2011 build - probably ended up as a 'change over' with the worst of all worlds... Still, I would have been happy with a Vogue as long as it had the heated/cooled seats.

Nah - pro install after-market Kenwood touch screen unit a few years back with NAV/CD/MP3/DVD remote control with the screens in the head rests etc by one of the previous owners - it's a little dated but works so as I am in a (very) tight budget it can stay there

I looked on that VIN site and got some great info off it, it had the TV fitted with colour NAV and other stuff all of that was removed when the new unit went in, I sort of wonder sometimes what I am missing not having the factory head unit.

That's always my advice - the spec changes so often, just figure out the bits that you want & make sure it has those.

IMHO you're not missing much - my RSE was almost never used as the kids preferred iPads - the ski locker is comically small, it's enough to get a couple of pairs of skis in and it won't fit a snowboard, the adaptive headlights don't make much of a difference to me and I certainly wouldn't be paying extra for them - you're probably also 'missing' a roller blind style dog guard too - which doesn't reach the sides - so my dogs could get around it

dunno about the advantages of having cooled seats...i have them and i've only used them a few times , the same with the hybrid digital tv, got it and hardly use it..

back to the seats, i prefer the instant 'on' of the standard heating element type than these 'blow hot air' type.... ... - .- -.

I have used the cooled seats in the UK and Europe in the 6 weeks I have driven the SC in total to date and loved it. Once I get my visa here, I plan to move the FFRR to here and here the cooled seats will be on ALLLLLL the time with temperatures never dipping below 25 where I have been sofar....................... It may get a bit cooler when we go to the Cameron Highlands or Chang Mai so the seat heaters are likely to be used at some point as well .

I specifically wanted the heated/cooled seats for example because I know I use them.

I even used the seat heaters and heated steering wheel on the 2006 SC in Nigeria during the Harmatan when outside temp dropped to a freezing 21 C  MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

The whole Vogue vs Vogue SE is a bit confusing. Is there a chance some markets did not have Vogue SE package available?

My swiss market car is a Vogue but does not seem to be missing any VSE additions, it does have adaptive lights, heated/cooled seats, ski-sack, pretty much everything apart from RSE which I believe was not standard in VSE either. 12 4.4 TDV8 Vogue

Worldwide, the spec changes with different marketplaces. Take the US for example, they didn’t ever get comfort seats in the 02-06 Vogue models. There highest spec was HSE!?!
