Is the electric closing function (on the key fob) standard on all 405's or was it an option? |

Only got remote fob tailgate opening on my March 13 build.

Does it work well? Can you do it manually without the key if you want? (And it's not locked obviously) |

Sorry.... It seems I'm wrong. I have it and I didn't know....oops . Yes you can open and close tailgate via the fob GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus

Yes, that was the reason for my question. I have a dog so the tailgate is opened and closed several times a day! Just wondering if it has a known wear - out point and I bet its expensive............ |

my hatch was broken at the the screws placement of the body - got a new one from the dealer. All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

@Alistair - not sure what you mean by the one on the tailgate not being accessible when fully closed? Do you mean the button on the lower half (which you wouldn't need access to anyway until the upper part had lifted)? If it's the one on the upper half, that can be used to open the tailgate even if the rest of the car is locked (assuming you have your key fob on your person). Steve

My electric tailgate has always been a bit problematic. I initially had problems closing it via the fob or the button on the tailgate which was sorted with a software update under warranty. Now it is currently playing up again with another problem
