Tow bars

Does anyone know if an OE LR towbar from a 2003 4.4 V8 petrol is a plug and play fit on a 2006 TdV8? I don't know when the connections changed to 13 pin (it is 13 isn't it?). Cheers.

Not asking about the tow bar, but the electrical connectors instead?

I believe that the later 13 pin can be retrofitted quite easily, but will have some redundant pins. Got enemies? Good, you have stood up for something in your life.

Never regret growing old, it is a privilege denied to many.

Thanks, but what I really want to know is whether the towbar and associated electrickery is compatible. In other words can you take everything off of the 2003 car and fit it directly to a 2006 TdV8? Drives:

I believe it's a different system on the later models but you could check on the PF Jones website as it allows you to choose tow bars and wiring kits for different models and years of manufacture. Westfalia is the OEM kit I believe

Yes you can ish!

The metal bits are the same exept for the exhaust hangers on the later cars... Easy to overcome though Thumbs Up

Wiring is the same unto 2009my> then its just another kit type Thumbs Up All plug & play though Thumbs Up
