travelling a distance wont put me off, I bought my BM from southampton, my car prior to that from ipswich, and current race bike from glasgow. Its a good excuse for a trip out. First time FFRR owner |

thanks ZF, thats the kind of info I'm after. I dont really need the practicality of a Disco, a FF or sport would suffice, the ruggedness shouldnt be an issue and I certainly wont be needing 7 seats so I think I can rule out the Disco.

if you get the fatty, just look for one, that has the towbar armature already on it. the removable 'drop-in' hook may be stored in the boot area, ask for it. -this way, you will avoid a chunky bill for retrofitting one.

yeah i used to have that issue when i was towing my single bike trailer with the 335. The trailer was so stable I often forgot i was towing. First time FFRR owner |

Cheers Zepp, given a straight choice it would be a FF. I dont think I do enough miles no to warrant a diesel, it wouldn't get up to temp properly on the 13 mile trudge to work these days so a big petrol/SC may be in order

I wouldn't worry about a diesel getting up to temps mine gets there in about 6 miles L322 2008 vogue

I'm looking at a facelift interior, the 5.0l would get me very interested but I dont think the budget will stretch that far. I'm looking at perhaps a max of 7 1/2k on top of mine so that would be in the region of 15k and I dont think I've seen a 5.0l that cheap yet First time FFRR owner |

The water may get warm but I doubt the oil would be. My BM has an oil temp gauge and that only gets up to temp in winter at the end of my 13 mile journey so I'd imagine a diesel will take a bit longer to get properly warm. First time FFRR owner |

There's a nice looking 4.2 Supercharged in the For Sale section thats had a full 2012 facelift exterior done.

Yeah the oil would not be up to full running temp on a short journey like that.
