Weird coolant leak

Driving back from work on Friday, suddenly got the 'Check Coolant Level' warning on the dash. Got home and the expansion tank was empty, but the temp needle never got above the lower level. Topped up the coolant (50 / 50 mix of water and coolant) took about 2 litres.
Noticed that the engine bay pan was very wet, so took it off and noticed a very distinctive drip from the 6 inch long section of hose that runs up to the underside of the EGR cooler from the main rad return hose. Couldn't reach it with my hand, as it's so crowded in that area of the engine bay. Car now parked up and not gonna move it.
So, question is...
1. is this a common failure point on the TD6 engine, at least when it comes to coolant leaks....and
2. will it be a total bast Censored to replace the little bit of hose and jubilee clips?

Taking it to my indy on thursday to get them to sort it, but could do with some info, if anyone has had prior experience of this.

Cheers guys. Bow down Bow down
