Sorry to hear that Les, but that is the exact reason why I don't get involved with "reconditioned" engines, or non-OEM parts for critical items

Mike don't know what the initiating event was but, end result was no oil pressure and rattly like a bag of spanners.

Definitely a good move based on the amount of motors knocking about ! Can only be a good business move as well, Dundee's been crying out for a Landrover garage for years! |

If this week is anything to go by, it'll be fine. There should have been another car, but they cancelled last minute as they needed it for towing at the weekend, and another being dropped off 1st thing tomorrow for a suspension fault

there's a good mechanic out at Peterculter he's a bit hard to find but he's ex land rover maybe worth a shot as he's an old school guy L322 2008 vogue

Ivor, Thanks for thought, but the underlying issue is you can't get decent OEM parts for these engines, to be honest if you could buy a Factory recon engine, dressed with heads and Turbo's I would have originally.

I agree that OEM parts should be made available for all the engines, couple of years ago i rebuilt my series 2a 2.25 desiel and OEM parts were easy to get for a 40 year old motor. |
