Center Console rear panel removal

Hi all,
Anyone any idea on how to remove the rear panel on the center console. Paint is flaking off and I want to repaint or possibly just leave balck but need to remove it to do so.

Look on the PowerfulUK web site, they have a video showing how to do it, you will probably need new clips, they tend to self destruct...!! Pete

Tx mod!

Yes the wrapping is something you can do yourself very easily. Lots of it on eBay. You only need a heatgun or hairdryer to wrap it around the panel. 2002 L322 V8

Cheers, will have a look. Meanwhile I have just removed it, thanks again for instructions, removed all the flaking paint and now polished black so looks a lot better. Thumbs Up

Is it possible to change the rear part of center console with facelift(2006->) version?
I like much more the look of the knobs and like also that they have light bulbs, what makes using them much easier in the dark.
Handbrake cable replacement in plans and would also add this job to do list as well.
