Isle Of Man 2009 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Santorini Black
New Owner, Isle of Man

Hi and a warm welcome to you all.

Firstly, many thanks for all the help I have already got from the forums, been invaluable in my search for my first Range Rover.

Picked up a 2009 Westminster TDV8 this morning after a long and exhaustive search (not as easy as it sounds when your in the Isle of Man!) and can honestly say Im over the moon with it. Never had a Range/Land rover before, or any 'offroad' 4x4 (had a couple of audi's with quattro, RS4 & RS6).

Will give it a bloody good clean and machine polish (pro detailer for 10 years) and get some pics up asap.

Thanks again for the help and advice I have garnered in my search and look forward to updating as I go!.

Isle Of Man 2009 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Santorini Black

Well hi and thank for the warm welcome.

Mine is deffo a 2009 Westminster, one of 300 as stated. and also in Mariana Black, which is a black base with blue fleck metalic, looks really nice when the sun catches it!.

So far, after spending the first day with her, have to say i love it. Coming from a more performance orientated background, the Range was a big deviation from my normal choice of car, but Im not dissapointed at all. The v8 Diesel pulls effortlessly, with oodles of torque and smooth power delivery, very impressed (first diesel too for that matter!).

As I say ill get some pic up of her tomorrow, hopefully the sun makes another appearance!.

Thanks again for the warm welcome!

Just a couple of quick pics, weather gods were not nice, so no chance of giving her a full clean. As soon as the sun makes an appearance ill bust out the machine polisher and give her the full monty (detailed post to follow on that!)

Welcome. Looks good.

I've recently bought a 2011 4.4 TDV8 instead of an RS4 or RS6, so I've still not scratched the Audi itch !

If you get round to scratching that itch, have a BIG slush fund at your disposal. Amazing cars the RS audi's, bloody expensive to keep them going.

I blew the gearbox in mine, £6k later.............

4 tyres £1200

Discs and pads all round, £1200

Suspension £2k

that combined with about 15mpg (you can get more, but the acceleration is too addictive) and they work out VERY dear to keep going.

That said, probably the best all round vehicle I have ever owned, and I will get onther one at some point!.
