Our first FF is now a month with us.
2007 tdv8 Vogue with 93k miles and full m/d service history although this is book only, no invoices (and I know the last 2 were Stratstone "cheapie" services).

I'm a bit in love with it already. I think we'll have her for a minimum of three years, perhaps more (and that's not like us).

As such, it's probably a good idea if I draw up a to-do list of things that would be classed as good preventative maintenance/precautionary measures. This is where you esteemed lot come in!!Without being too anal, what would be sensible things to do/check/sort/replace to give us the best chance of her being reliable? We've already done a service, 4 wheel align, updated satnav disc and she'll be having some brakes work at some point in the next couple of months or so. Modifications/upgrades can also be included in your thinking if they are appropriate to the ethos of the thread (ie software update is ok, adding blingy tat isn't!!). IID tool would be my first thing to get , then you can keep on top of things but I'm a D3 owner and NEED it

Check for corrosion on the rear lower of the upper tailgate and on the front of the rear wheel arches, if all of that makes sense!  Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Hi. I got my 2007 6 months now and here's my list so far

Full service on engine

Full service ( flush + filter ) gearbox

Diff oils and transfer box oil changed

Brake fluid changed

Power steering fluid changed

Lower front arms replaced ( not strictly needed but they showed signs of wear so worth doing )

Winter tyres fitted

Cornering lights , side lights and fog lights changed for LED

XENON replacement for H7s ( on order )

Silicone hoses fitted ( 4 of the 6 )

Remap next month and possible EGR blank and mapped out

Front seats need to be re sprayed Priced at 300 stg for Front seats , arm rests and centre console and door arm rests

Car ( Archibald ) has had 3 services so far every 7000 kms

Issues

Suspension airbag holed

Wiper arm wore and fell off ( home bodge repair but so far so good )

Flat battery twice after short lay up ( week )but worked all winter without issue

Suspension fault ( compressor exhaust ). On order for next service

Drivers seat will not heat of driver sitting in it Otherwise fine !!! Still unresolved

Best 36 mpg.

Average. 26 mpg

Great car , quiet. Smooth , powerful and great off road , oh and my kids love it. Mines the SE and I love the toys
