scuttle panel renovator

Hi everyone, tried a search but can't find the thread.
I'm sure pete haylands wrote about it.
Theirs a solution he bought that brings the scuttle panel up nice, in front of the windscreen, only mines looking a bit tired, would like it a bit better.
anyone any idea what it is please.

Peanut butter or any other oil will bring it up OK for as long as the oil stays on it or until the next wash...

I recommended this stuff

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gtechniq-C4-Perm...SwmrlU08~6

Not cheap but does work, I did all the plastic on my old XC70 that had really gone off, it still looked like new two years later.

15ml will do all the black plastic on a FF about twice I would have thought... it really does go along way, just make sure you clean the plastic well first... Pete

this is a bit cheaper Pete, and you can have a sandwich after you've done the panel,

Peanut butter Shocked

I appreciate the oil will work but I suspect any animals in the vicinity will take to licking it off in short order.

I use the Meguires product designed for the purpose. Used to bring my P38 door handles up a treat.

I have actually used it on the FF scuttle panel, post Autoglass Neanderthals putting in a new screen recently, and it works very well. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged

The thing with the Gtechniq C4 Permanent Trim Restorer is that you do it once, that's it... job done... forget it for years....

Anything else will work for a while.... WD40, household polish, shoe polish, peanut butter, palm oil, and any other make of trim cleaner/polisher...

I suppose it depends on how much you like polishing... Thumbs Up Pete

+1 On the C4 Techniq. Great stuff! Costs a few quid but you only need to apply a few drops on a cotton pad. I did mine like 10 months ago and they are still shining bright. Will probably last years. 2002 L322 V8

Thanks for your help and advice lads?
I only remembered a thread by pete sometime ago, as I wanted more of a permanent solution.
The c4 stuff looks like the stuff I will go for.
Cheers. Greg. Thumbs Up

Hot air gun works a treat also as it draws the oils back upto the surface of the scuttle. Just be careful not to get it to hot
