Still havent got one! Thinking about 4.2SC

Hi all

Signed up to the site some time ago with the intention of getting into FF ownership. Well with family and work life that didnt happen.

Anyhow, i find myself on the lookout again and have been thinking of 4.2 supercharged models and came across this one.

Does anyone know this car?
What should i look for if I decide to go view it.
Anyone know of any alternative cars to this one i should consider for around the same money.

Thanks in advance
Prit

I suggest you do a search for checklists and also look at the Wiki entry that forum member pld118 put together. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black

Seems expensive given the mileage. Should be able to find one with 30,000 less on the clock for that price. Looks like the dealer is trying to impress with the wheels and grille and hope it blinds buyers to the mileage. Also I've heard that the larger wheels can take its toll so probably a good idea to get the various bushes etc checked out. Put two Rhodeasian Ridgebacks in a Range Rover and pretty soon it's their Ridge Rover.

Strange approach: "let's white everything out, every grille in the bumper, door handles, mirrors, side vents... and then slap a black front grille on to stick out like a sore thumb!"

Not a huge fan of the wheels and the wannabe 2010+ grille at all. 07 3.6 TDV8 Vogue

Just my humble opinion but a supercharged RR is a bit redundant. The RR is effortless motoring and a big grunty diesel is made for the job. Torque is king and while a SC would bring a smile to anyone's face it's not exactly fast. Fast for a 2 tonne tank but not fast I have a R1 and it's fast , cheap to buy and will out accelerate anything this side of 1 million worth and even then give it a run for its money

I only have the 3.6 but the wall of torque is lovely to drive and makes effortless journeys

I've seen people afraid of diesel issues but I think an argument can be made either way and that's without the fill up issue

I've always been a speed freak but horses for courses No point arriving at the corner and having a hot hatch stuck up your tailpipes when you get to the first roundabout

Again , just my humble opinion 2015 4.4 AB

TBH it doesn't really need to be a SC, I could easily live with a TDV8 too.

55palfers very nice mate, but a bit over my budget.

Im not be trading my current car in, hence why im looking around the 15K mark, besides can get my petrol fix from the current car.

I'm also looking and don't think I would risk the 4-6000 bill for turbos on a TDV8, besides I only do 4-5000 miles a year.
