4.2SC with LPG... best of both worlds, get one already converted, not pulling much of a premium at present.... Pete

Kiter like you I only cover 5 to 6k in my 4.2 and I love the power when you need it. Yes it is a thirsty beast but it gives me lots of big smiles. The price of petrol is low at present so just go for it and enjoy. The worst thing about being retired is you miss out on all the bank holidays |

I've had a 3.6 for 18 months and I haven't had any hint of any of the "problems" people talk about - its got plenty of get up and go, and I feel sure it will sell much more easily than a SC when the time comes

Had mine two days now and hoping for big things. It had service history and at 65K feels like an almost new car. |

Thanks All for the advice - must admit I'm really leaning towards the SC.

I have a 3.6 TDV8 and I love it. It is my first diesel, always opted for quicker petrol gas guzzlers in the past (Impreza GT, B5 RS4, 911 Turbo, even my winter car was a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 V8 petrol). No regrets at al. I love how rare I need to refill, has enough grunt even bone stock. Love how I can go for a skitrip to the mountains which is a 900 km round trip and I can cover that with one tank.
