Hello All

After many (literally) sleepless nights, I am due to collect my new L405 this morning

The parking space I've rented is on a sideways slope, meaning when I park, either the drivers or passengers side will be higher than the other depending which way I face.

Might sound like a silly question, but will parking on a sideways slope like this over prolonged periods have an adverse effect on my suspension? I'd say the slope is around 10-15 degrees.

The car will be used at least 1-2 times a week at the very least apart from When I go away on holiday maybe once a year. This might even change to it being parked up for 2 weeks straight if I go back on rotation (ie 2 weeks on 2 weeks off work)

Any input much appreciated.

I've never really thought about it..... can you park either way round - so you could alternate ?

Dropping daughter off at school (300 metres away from house) a bit early, and then getting on the train for about an hour ....

I suppose if you had a sloped drive (i.e. sloped towards or away from the house), as a lot of houses do, you wouldn't worry that say the rear suspension (if you parked facing the house) was getting more wear than the front due to the position, so really your situation is the same, but just laterally ,and the air suspension automatically levels it anyway when the engine starts. Sounds like it is quite a mild lateral slope anyway. Steve

can't see it having any impact on the suspension, its designed to be at many angles and remember its on air bags anyway so will simply adjust.

I'm 100% sure it will totally wreck your new L405 and make it worth nothing in about a week, however it is well known that 2002 L322's are immune from side slopes so, if you ask nicely, I could be willing to swap mine for yours..... if you pay the shipping...  Pete
