When I was with LR insurance and needed the windscreen checking (chip was just filled by Autoglass in the end anyway) they said that they were rolling out a system whereby all the LR main dealers would handle the windscreen replacement , but I think this basically entails Autoglass etc going to the LR dealer to do the work on your car and I assume the mechanics there check the rear view mirror/rain sensor is functioning correctly (and I think the air bags come into it aswell). I asked Autoglass about windscreen replacement and they said they would use either LR or Pilkingtons. As I'm not too impressed with my original windscreen, I will probably try Pilkingtons if it ever needs changing , but if they are one and the same, then I'm out of luck! Steve
