SOD's law or bad luck??
My 07 69,000. Just had car serviced at main dealers. The following day I get a transmission fault warning light. Is there anything they may of done that caused this issue. Only came on once then went off again after approx 400 mtrs. Only just had the car washed when it happened anyone have any ideas???

Might be water in the ECU, was it an external wash, or did the engine get done as well? Only you'll soon discover that the Range Rover doesn't actually like water, especially under the bonnet If a wet engine is the cause, it should dry out and hopefully all will go back to being normal

And if you feel the need to clean the engine bay then might I suggest some WD40 and a rag, it will look shinier for longer and the car will love you for it  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Up date..
Took the car for a two hour run this morning,when selecting drive everything works as it should from 1-6 and back down again, tried it in sport and box went from 1-2 then going to 3 transmission fault warning appeared. the box switched itself over to drive with the lever still in the S position. The fault then went?? tried driving in D again and everything worked??
any suggestions??

yes - stop worrying about it - its fixed itself

Combination of Roverphobia and water, it's all dry now, just watch where you point your hose in future  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
