That 144 thou one looks nice. IMHO the best colour trim (piano black) with ivory leather. I really wouldn't dismiss it mate, especially at it seems like you only want a stop gap. I'd like to see just how good the servicing history is mind. And question why the TDV8 badge is missing?

I totally agree ^,as a stop gap its bang on the money (not to much depreciation )
loads on here have high miles with no issues,
you could pay 16k for a lower mile example that can still go pop or be a lemon,+ take a bigger hit in depreciation at resale time.

Expecting to do 22k again this year. budget around £16,000

Putting 22k on a 80,000 mile car will have more impact come resale time than 22k on a 120-140k car.... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I drove all over the country looking for a black one without rear arches that were corroding despite people describing them as "Mint" or ones that were blatantly knocking.. went to see one that has gearbox oil spewing out of it again 'Mint' according to the owner. I wouldn't mind if people described them as they were.

Ended up paying a little more than i wanted for the right one, but its a joy to drive and a great car We've had it a year and its not be fault free, but likewise it hasn't cost the earth!

Sick to death of seeing mint ones with the rear inner wheel arches corroded and bubbling, especially those where it has spread to the inner door wing as well. Off to look at another one today, a 65K on an 07 plate.

Deed done !! Will update at a later stage but 2007, 65k TDv8 now on deposit.Still a few marks on the inner wheel arches but will apply some stone guard or the like ( please let me have your suggestions.) Inner wheel plastic cover will come out as well and wax oil applied . Top boot lid was fine but wax oil will be entering every orifice !
Advice sought on drivers seat cover ( cream interior and I'd like to keep it that way ).

As far as seat covers go the fitted LR ones are good but really expensive. I remember reading on here a company called Inka make seat covers for RR, might be mistaken it was a while back. Have a google and see what comes up..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Just rung to point out that they are around £360 new and pretty hard to find second hand ( Parchment colour ). Lot of stalling about about they weren't trying to hide anything and that I had test driven the car and they had presented it as it stands. " I didn't say it had one '. Well true but I would have thought it pertinent to mention such a large bit of missing trim. Not like its an option that some have and some don't.
I've said that I regard the parcel shelf as a major bit of trim. They have gone off to see if they can find a used one from their connections... ummm... deposit return ??

There are second hand ones about but on closer inspection they tend to look like they have been dragged through the proverbial hedge backwards.

If he wants the sale I would get him to find one! Or knock you the price of a new one off. Our friendly neighbourhood LR parts man Dan (duckworthparts) should be able to get you a price for one shipped. Gives you a starting point to knock him down.

And NO they don't all have them missing, and they aren't in previous owners garages. After all why wouldn't you put it back in the car when you sold it! Or just leave it there to start with! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

He's just rung to say he's sourcing one. I've told him I don't want no mis matched colour or one on its last legs. They are £445 at Land Rover !! He wants to drop the gearbox service he said he would do in return for parcel shelf. Have agreed as I will do this myself and at least I know it will have been done properly .

Well they put it in for an MOT today... Failed !!
