L322 phone connection.

Hello all,

Just a quick query about iPhone 5s connection please.

I can connect the phone to the car via bluetooth and all works as it should. The problem is this;

Once connected the phone will remain so for the rest of the day (mostly) but after the car is put to bed at night and goes into sleep mode it seems to loose connection. This means that the following morning the phone will need to be paired again.

It's not a major issue i know and I have put up with it for the five months I have had the car but it's starting to grate just a little, it would be nice to know if there is a way to sort out the car's amnesia.

Cheers,

Ian

You can change the Bluetooth module for one that's stops this happening and also shows the phone directory as well.

But I cannot remember the chaps site who does a exchange of modules.

Hi Realist,

Thanks for the info but I wonder if the symptoms are as you describe, I already have the full directory shown on the R's screen and when I say that I have to pair the phone every day, I only have to do this by pressing the 'landrover' icon in the phone's bluetooth settings, I don't have to put in the code to the car every time.
It could be the module as you say, but I was under the impression that the problem you describe was for earlier cars (could be wrong of course), mine is a late 2007.

Thanks,

Ian

I'm no expert bud just passing on the info that's all.

My wifes 2007 SE connects to her Samsung S6 but does not show the directory and I'm hoping this module change will resolve the phone book error.

But she does not have the problem connecting everyday the FFRR does not ask her for the code.

Realist,

That's interesting about your RR and the fact it's the same year. Also that they are displaying a slightly different set of problems, both symptoms of the old module though.

Thanks for your input.

Ian

^+1 to alan-m3 the IID tool has a flash upgrade for the bluetooth module (does take about 45 minutes to do), but it's given me full functionality for my latest mobile phone.

Discotigger, alanm_3,

The IID route was going to be my next question as I have one, so thanks for that.
I'm curious to know if you had the same 'connection dropping out' issue or just the lack of a phonebook.

Thanks again guys,

Ian
