Can I check L405 Build Date from VIN Only?

Hello All

As per topic, can I check the build date of an L405 via just the VIN?

I purchased an online check (equivalent of HPI check in the UK) but its come up with nothing as the car hasn't ever been registered in Australia. Well when I say nothing its come up as a 2012 L405? Bastards still charged me $30 tho.

So is there any other way to check build date if I have the VIN?

Any dealer should be able to do it I would have thought - they can also get the exact spec of the car including everything fitted as an option.

They should be able to print out a sheet for you

Dealer did mention it was May 2015 despite the ad saying Oct 2014 so I was just wondering if there was a way to check online as I can't sleep lol. Its 2am here.
