Wiper motor connecting arm

Hi. My passenger wiper stopped. The arm connecting the drivers motor had come off It seems the arm is held on by a plastic popper thing that is worn. I spoke to Land Rover and it's not sold separately. Any ideas people ? 2015 4.4 AB

Best option......

possibly a wiper linkage repair clip. Have a search of that on eBay an you tube. they are basically a clip which slides over and holds together the existing linkage. cheap as chips and easy to fit Thumbs Up

VALEO don't sell replacement bits that i can find so this may be the best way forwards before you start cutting and pasting bits onto your mechanism.

they look like this... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks Northern but can't see one for the FFRR. As an aside , I called a Dublin Land Rover dealer and he asked if it was a sport or large RR , I answered full fat and he was very amused 2015 4.4 AB

think they are fairly generic,

they all seem to be a similar size

this guide tell you how to measure the ball and socket etc to see if it will fit.

Dolph, did you manage to fix your wiper issue?

I have exactly the same problem - after reading this thread I purchased some wiper linkage repair clips but they are the wrong size - any help finding the correct size greatly appreciated!

Mine is also an 07 plate - 8.5 years must be the failure point for the crappy plastic ball joints! 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

Hi. Fixed after a fashion anyway. On mine the weak joint was the passenger wiper connection. What we did was removed the connecting rod and reversed it so the worn end was now on the drivers side and the good connection was the passenger side which clips up.

On the drivers side , which clips down we used a small cable tie and that and gravity seems to have done the job. It took about 5 mins and all that needed to be removed was the air intake for the heater which was two 10mm bolts

I tried to source the clip but the company didn't have one to suit and I needed to measure the ball and then they would get back to me. I live in Ireland and with the weather we've been having I couldn't wait.

No doubt I'll have issues in the future but for now she's fine

Hope that helps 2015 4.4 AB
