One of my mates recently asked me to help him out with his 2006 Supercharged as the main screen would get to the Land Rover logo splash screen and get stuck which was stopping him using the stereo and nav etc.

I remembered reading on here about it most likely being the Nokia bluetooh module that sits in the back left of the boot (Part XVJ500420) and that it can be bypassed by linking the fibre optic cables in a drinks straw. I tried this method as a first port of call and everything then worked perfectly

I then asked my mate if he used the Bluetooth (cue blank look). Given that he is 70 and drives a Supercharged FFRR I didn't take the P too much because he didn't know what it did. Now he does know he thinks that would be great to use and would like me to get it working for him.

Am I correct that I should just swap this Nokia module over for a new one? Is there some way I can check that there is power getting to the module first? I don't want to buy a new module from Dan if it is not going to solve the problem

send a pm to a guy called wiggs he may have one or be able to reflash your original,theres one that can not be reflahed and by the part no you gave i think its that one but cant remember.try a web site called bluetooth exchange its on there same guy i think.

The module no that cannot be updated is xvj500042 so looking at the one you have should be ok.
wiggs is the man you need to ask.
