This is loose near the battery and the hoses for the windscreen washer seem to be on it....

How should it fasten?

Hi, just checked my 2012MY TDV8 and the same piece is loose on mine exactly per your picture. There are no obvious clip points and nothing appears to be missing.

Many thanks. Just seems a little strange. I've tucked it out the way, but it doesn't seem right.....

Both ours have a habit of coming off when the car is back from service - I find that they CLIP onto the front wall/metal in front of battery - they clip in and stay in place.

See if your clips are OK - any broken ?

I think you will find they come off in someones had the bonnet on the full workshop opening position
