Dead Battery

Hi All, thanks for your ideas tried but non worked. I think I might have blown a fuse, I got the AA out & thanks to a very patient technician I got the bonnet open. Does anyone know anyway to bypass the central locking from the engine bay. Cheers

Have you tried connecting a battery charger to the +ve and _ve jump posts?
That will put 12V onto the car irrespective of the state of your battery.
You should then be able to open the doors as normal.

If I'd have known you could have waited 8 days........

If all else fails - you might as well smash a window - but do it carefully - sticky sheet over it so that glass doesn't end up everywhere.

Check your insurance first - mine covered all glass the same as the windscreen - so something like £75 excess was all it cost me when it got broken into. The hassle was waiting a week for them to get the glass - and cleaning up all the fragments of class that get absolutely everywhere.

You could have reported the 'break in' and ordered the glass a week ago Whistle

On my old 03 td6 the battery went completely flat after 2 weeks in an air port car park, the drivers door unlocked with the key but none of the other doors would unlock, so I would have thought the key should unlock the drivers door on this one

As Birchyman says, doesnt the key unlock the drivers side door? Ive had a duff FSR completely kill a battery over a couple of weeks but could still get in with the key?

Mine too only unlocked the drivers door, no other doors but it allowed me to pop the bonnet and swap the battery over
