Wheel Locking Nut Lost

Had a cracked alloy fixed recently, the garage when fitting my wheel back on never gave back the wheel locking nut. Evil or Very Mad I realised the day after as it was missing from my glove box. They have agreed to replace it, but i have no idea which i need as iirc each one is unique and there are a quite a few different types identified by a code?

How can i find out which one i need without a visit to the dealers?

can you fill in your car profile so we know what year/model you have and also tell us if you have the OE wheels or whether you have upgraded them to newer ones . ... - .- -.

I bought the car with 22" overfinch alloys (replicas most likely)

If it is a LR one then the dealer will have a master set. You can ask them to find which one fits. Should only take about 5 mins as there aren't that many.

Not sure if you can buy the key separately though or if you would need a new complete set? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Had the same problem once and Duckworth helped me out by looking at the pics I took from the wheelnuts. They were so kind to send me a few to test and the good one was in the package. Their service is so great that they even proposed to send back the ones I could not use.

Assume you checked the spare wheel well & the little compartments either side of the boot floor ?

Sometimes the adapter gets put back in the wrong place

Personally, I think locking nuts on a FFRR are a complete waste of time - any thief who could get it off the ground, would have no problem with a locking nut - the only person they ever seem to inconvenience is the owner.....

totally agree with Alistair. After they caused me a problem I took them of and now they must be somewhere in my garage.
