to clarify that this has absolutely nothing to do with any forum sponsors....

the reason that your 'for sale' threads have been pulled Robbo is because you are breaching the commercial selling rules and you have ignored Martins pm's ....

So selling my parts left over which were already on the forum listings now is a violation

Let's see

Wings, rear bumper, new facelift grill, all extra left overs from my conversion

The item that got the hornet nest going was the adapters I made and had a second et that I put up for sale to clear my cupboard

I got paid off last October and need every penny I can get at the moment as the oil is dead, for the next two year at least Shocked Current vehicles

not 100% sure Robbo but it might have been the half dozen of the homelink interior mirrors you were selling that instigated your problem , and of course ignoring Martins pm's... ... - .- -.

For the record can I give my position on this.

There's been absolutely no communication to me from anyone else, sponsor or member, about what Rob's been offering/attempting to offer. What's been done by me and/or Stan is to comply with the site's own commercial posting rules.

I have been reminding Rob of the site's rules on commercial/for-profit sales, with no reply. Rob has also been on the sites for a long time so I cannot believe there is a lack of understanding about the site's commercial posting rules.

Rob then posts here and on D3 say he is wanting to start facelift conversions, and listing upgrade parts and looms for sale.

These are removed from public view as they look like commercial posts and I have had no reply from Rob about what is going on.

Having done this Rob then tells me he hasn't had the interest in conversions and is just clearing parts from his garage. This I can't possibly know beforehand!

This could all have been sorted by a reply to my commercial posting reminder (I received none) letting me know what the situation was. Instead I was left in the dark Confused

Martin I replied to you explaining
1. I am not running a conversion buisness, I asked if there was any interest via the forum for the north east
2. Stan even comments that the upgrade of the mirror was good to known, I bought some and passed them to the forum as an option for the members at a discount on LR prices.

So if any member is doing group buys then they all you will confirm have sponsorship status with the forum??

If not why not as this is what you are inferring by the above.

Hence after my old parts for sales got removed I decided that it obviously is not a forum for the members but for the sponsors,

I have donated to the forums, why I have had group buys as this I see is only fair to help support the whole forum, which I believe was set up to discuss and share fixes and supply of cheap parts to the members.

As I have emailed tonight before posting I am off Martin
I request all forums, disco3/4, FFRR , RRS, and babyrr for,all my threads and wiki posts to be removed for with.

Thanks it was great being part of the forums but I don't agree with the control and restrictions applied on them now when other members are being penalised from information.

Sorry that's my opinion, think I am allowed that still? Current vehicles

Robbo, you said that '' the range rover 2006 onwards home link mirror is a direct fit with any model fitted with auto dimming type mirror from factory'' with which i replied that it was good to know...

how does this allow you to ignore the forum commercial selling rules ... ... - .- -.

Rob,

You only replied after previously ignoring my PMs as I was concerned you were going to overstep the commercial posting rules. I hear nothing and then there are suddenly lots of parts being listed.

I remove these ads as I have not heard from you, only after that do I hear back from you.

Keeping me in the loop early on would have stopped this getting into this situation Confused

To make it absolutely clear: no sponsor has been involved in the decision to remove your ads.

They were removed because, as I have done with other commercial ads, I believed them to breach the commercial posting rules.

Well if selling the parts removed from a facelift conversion is commercial, no member can sell the left overs then from there car by this statement, so can you confirm all group buys on the site also have sponsorship status or am I being specifically selected?

Either way I formally request all posts and wiki docs be removed from all forums forthwith publicly for clarity then. Current vehicles

You know that's not the case so it seems odd to suggest it.

In the circumstances, and given what I knew at the time, do you really think I have acted unreasonably?
