Did you find out what was wrong? My 57 FFRR TDV8 has precisely the same problem. Unit fine when engine on though, I can feel the hot air pumping out from the small FBH exhaust by the front wheel. |

I'm having the same issue too, just cuts out when using the remote or timer, seems to run ok with engine running but i can be sure
