Strictly amatuer though. I started off doing it as a hobby and things got a bit out of hand and now it's taking up more and more of my time. One day I may even earn some money from it. Big Cry WARNING: Do not read this!!! Okay, you read it but make sure you don't read this bit.

Well, only two weeks into ownership and the alternator needs replacing. Sad

Hope to do it tomorrow and will probably end up doing more stuff as well. WARNING: Do not read this!!! Okay, you read it but make sure you don't read this bit.

Got the Bosch alternator and other bits from Europarts yesterday. Think it was around £300.

Had no option as I have to get the car ready by tuesday morning because I have to pick the wife and kid from the airport.

How long did it take them to do the job? WARNING: Do not read this!!! Okay, you read it but make sure you don't read this bit.

I fancied one a few years ago as well as well as an Esprit. Got to do some moving shots of it soon so will get a ride in it. That aprticular one has an interior done by Aston Martin. Shocked

Well.........................

It took us most of the day just to remove it as we ended up filming an inspection of the car. Going to edit it and upload it to youtube later.

Turned out the alternator was a reconditioned one dated May 2010. So will be replacing it with a new one.

There was also an engine leak coming from one of the camcovers, so they came off. Going to have them powdercoated red. Laughing

The rad was begining to leak... so new one ordered.

Then we decided to change every rubber component in the engine bay as well. Might as well as the front end was off.

Then yesterday I purchased a used 2010 bumper with all the bits off ebay for £295. Decided to modify the Rangie to a 2010 model. New front/rear lights and grills. Trying to source some updated wheels/tyres now.

And it all started off with a defective alternator............. Big Cry

The plan is to do as much as possible now, so I don't have to do anything else in the next few years.

I'll post up some pictures in the next few days. WARNING: Do not read this!!! Okay, you read it but make sure you don't read this bit.

Angelis,
If you still have the front off, replace the water pump as well as the rubber goods.... Its a fairly straightforward job, much easier if it hasn't lunched itself and wrapped the belts round the pulleys Crying or Very sad

Cars back together now and now has 2010 lights, bumper, grill and wheels. Dropped it into the workshop today for some paint work. Should get it back next week.

New waterpump, rad, hoses and alternator. Just have to relocate the LPG intake and add the side steps. WARNING: Do not read this!!! Okay, you read it but make sure you don't read this bit.
