2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Epsom Green

There's no motor, just a small explosive charge that retracts the buckle in the event of a crash.
As with anything on the SRS you should disconnect the battery before messing around with the connections. It's highly unlikely that anything might happen if you don't but for the sake of a few seconds to disconnect it's advisable. Pre-tensioners going off are unlikely to cause any injury (unless you have you fingers between the buckle and base) but airbags are a different matter.

I don't know what it is with my photos, when I upload they change orientation. I even tried editing the close up by turning it upside down before uploading so it would be the right way up, and when uploaded was still upside down. So I gave up and left them as is. ______________________________

I've not looked at the rangerover airbag system (as I don't have an airbag light yet) Laughing

But Im having a similar issue with my carrera at the moment ....
Like all cars , The seatbelt recepticals have an explosive charge that "sucks in" the belts when the airbag goes off .

There is also a light on the dash to remind you to put your belt on ...

My drivers side belt recepticle has a bad switch so can't tell the car if I have my belt on or not ,
So as its all tied into the airbag system , it goes "fail safe" and throws up the airbag light .
