Not really. It's only an updated version of the 2.7, and having had various issues ironed out they are more reliable on the whole.
The compressor on a facelift will already be an AMK type and so much more reliable. The EGRs on the 3.0 don't fail on the same scale as the 2.7 too. As menioned, if you can, get a 12MY 8-speed. Do hop over to RRSport too. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK Discovery 3 TDV6 Auto HSE Zambezi Silver |

Just don't force yourself to buy it because of the interior if it's not right; it always ends badly. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Thats what bothers me coz she is going to want it for the interior , try telling her otherwise mechanically , bodywise , gremlins and such will just waft in one ear and out the other 😳😳

All the usual sort of stuff really, but the consequences are worse than your average vehicle. Suspension bush wear, nice smooth transmission. Check Terrain Response, low range, suspension etc. are all working correctly. Check the EPB in low range (applies more pressure). Any noises/messages/signs out of the ordinary. Generally anything that'd indicate it hasn't been looked after etc. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK
