I think you will find they only supply the headlight plug with the wires pre pinned and glanded, not with the matching socket that allows a plug and play solution....... You have to cut off you plug and solder there plug on to the car loom.

I can set my side lights as daylight running lights with my Iid tool, has the same effect

If the beam of the 2012 move left and right with the steering then yes
