ordered full size spare wheel - it states in brochure that this option includes the straps & tools

can't find the straps & can only see wheel brace & jack, not sure what other tools they mean
asked dealer to clarify
anyone had similar issue ? various other LR's this one is still the best

Should be in a little black bag somewhere in the wheel well - it's kind of a hoist system

If you have not got one it would be best to speak to the dealer because lifting the full size 22" spare out without it would be near impossible. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

The kit only comes with the fill size spare - maybe even only with 22's - I'm not completely certain

Check with the supplying dealer as it's quite an expensive extra for what it is IMHO - details

Even if you order a spare wheel with L405, the lifting bag is not include with Vogue or SE in V6 or V8 form.

Only included with AB.

I spent a shed load on extras on my first 405SE SDV8 including FS spare, but no lifting strap. It's stingy and daft not to include it with the wheel.

Dealer said LR logic is that you would call out a breakdown service instead, rather than maul about.

However, when it comes carrying out work at home, then that logic is gone.

Moved to AB just to get the BLACK BAG.

I've just ordered the spare wheel lifting kit from Dan (?) at Duckworths; it wasn't expensive. My car has a 20" spare but it looks like a second hand alloy bought by the owner rather than a factory option which is why the kit wasn't present.

There is the type pictured in the post above and there is another type that uses the lower tailgate and a cradle arrangement to lift and pull the wheel out. It is this kit that I have ordered.

Is yours is an L322 - that kit doesn't work on the L405 - probably due to the powered tailgate

I was fairly sure Dan mentioned in passing there was a 405 version but now I am beginning to doubt myself.

Mine has the black bag, 13 plate SDV8 VSE with 21" wheels and full size spare. I had a flat recently and called recovery, these wheels are mega heavy and once out if the car was still a pain to get on without crawling around on the floor

Supplying dealer Stratstone has rung to say that I as I had the optional full size spare wheel 20" the lifting assist strap/kit/thingy should have come with it , he apologised and said he would order one it should arrive after christmas

so if you have the space saver you don't get a lifting kit - how lighter is the space saver ? various other LR's this one is still the best
