It is possible to get cars to ride well on huge wheels, but it does take lots of effort.
I developed this Super SUV on 315/25/23 tyres to ride reasonably well....
But it did take access to all the suspension parameters, tyre types and pressures...and a great deal of testing!
My L322 runs fine on L405 21" wheels which have just 4mm less height between the rim and the road than the 20" standard fit, but it is noticeably slightly less compliant than stock.
21" is a good compromise on the full fat if you favour function over form
