I love those. Thumbs Up More, please.
It's been a LONG time, but "we brake for fish", "going downhill without brakes", and the "British driving on the wrong side of the road" we're all favourites.

Thank you! Thumbs Up

I've seen a nice coffee table book of the great US VW adverts that they ran in the 60s and 70s. Classics.

It would be great if someone did the same with the LR ones. (I think there were some Defender and Discovery ones as well.) It was a smart idea to keep the same look/style to all the ads. It gave them some unity and made them stand out in magazines that were chock-a-block with car ads.

These are great - very much of thier time.
I have a large CSK dealer poster which my wife "acquired" from LR in 1990 - it's barely seen the light of day !
I'll roll it out & get a pic up on here . . . .

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Baltic Blue

According to a recent book I've just read - all these 80's adds were dreamt up by a small team LR team headed up by a middle aged lass!!. Don't know if that true or not.

My favourite is the three car garage in the snow with car tracks leading to just one of the doors - the slogan is 'guess where they keep the range rover'. Brilliant because it doesn't even show the car!! 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus
93 RR Classic efi

Remember it's easier to get forgiveness than permission!

Gone in order:
4.4 TDV8 SE - gone to a good home
93 Classic hard dash Plymouth Blue
03 L322 Oslo Blue
2000 Disco TD5 ES Epsom Green
98 P38 Rioja Red
89 Classic Cairngorm Brown
