@fox/avi, i greatly appreciate what you both are saying but the thought of someone taking my possessions be it my car or tv , riles me up so much...

in retrospect i have never been burgled , maybe its because of my cctv cameras and prominent alarm box but i can sympathise with those who have gone through that ordeal... ... - .- -.

Burglars and Specialist Car Thieves are quite seperate groups though. The Specialist gangs that go after high value and performance cars generally aren't interested in nicking your TV !

Huh - they should get together and form full service enterprises!

Seriously Mick, I'd much rather read about how your RR was stolen in a post by you than how you were killed in a post by someone else.
I can fully sympathize with your urge to protect your property ( I can have very sadistic fantasies when it comes to punishing lowlife scum) but thinking you're James Bond and you'll roll off the pillow just in time to dodge the bullet will leave you with the realization that you aren't James Bond and that that's just the movies - while you're glowering down from a cloud.

I have a safe which my keys are in, no doubt though they will try and hotwire them though. Even if they did steal them they couldn't afford the fuel.

Hope you've got a stick too. Cause what they'll do is not hotwire (too difficult), they'll come upstairs and see you about opening the safe. And now you can join the discussion about dying for your RR with Mick. Laughing

Luckily, we haven't had a single bit of trouble round our way for as long as I can remember, apart from a a young kid trying to nick a neighbours Cavalier about 20 years ago, he smashed the window, and tried to hotwire it, luckily it had an immobiliser so wouldn't start, but buy the time he had realised, there were 3 or 4 other neighbours trying to drag him out the car. We had 3 police officers living in our street at one point, one being a dog handler and would often park his dog section van in the middle of the street which helped a lot.

Also, being in the security trade, almost every house in the street has one of our alarm systems, and we also have CCTV on our house just in case, mainly because there's the FFRR and 2 vans on the drive plus the parents cars. 2006 Mercedes CLS

But really finding it hard to fight the urge for a S/C...
