Mine is too heavy to be a disc back plate. Clunk, not rattle!

Did anyone ever find a reason for this, sounds very similar to mine.

I've replaced upper and lower arms and ball joints, only thing I have noticed is slight movement on both inner cv joints when holding the shaft they move in any direction about 5mm. Equal movement on both sides so not sure that they are a problem.

Mine started after being on my 2 post for a day while I changed the alternator and did a few other jobs, I can only assume that the weight resting on suspension has put something under extra stress. 2009(10MY) 3.6 TDV8 Vogue

Jeez,

It's only been 4 years.

Give us a chance!

Still knocking.

Happy Christmas, Glideman!

Happy Christmas David, mine is still doing the same. Never been able to cure it, mind you the gearbox leaking is taking my mind off it at the moment.

Since I was last on

the air con has failed
Rear windscreen wiper failed
Gearbox leaks and slipping
Rust started appearing at sill
Rear suspension bushes worn out again
Rear bottom tailgate won't close
Led display stopped working

Been looking at a new Kia, they do a 7 year warranty and have a good dealer network apparently......... Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue

Genuinely sorry to hear that.

May not help to tell you mine has been absolutely bullet proof.

EXCEPT FOR THE DAMNED KNOCK.

Perhaps I should buy yours?

Can't beat a good pair of knockers...
