Hi all,

Last weekend when I was attending an off road driving day in the West Coast of Scotland, my rear suspension collapsed and after removing the rear O/S wheel I saw that the height sensor had snapped. I tied it back together with cable ties and it got me home... I've now purchased and received a replacement and am looking to replace tomorrow hopefully.

Does anybody have a tutorial or any guidance on how to do this please? I've searched through many threads on here but can't find a step by step guide.

I believe its just screw on , plug in and then it will need recalibrating by someone with the correct tool/software. My Indy did mine for £50 using his autodata machine

read some where that it doesnt need calibrating, could be wrong though.. ... - .- -.

There was a youtube video where you got into a menu on the screen and were able to run the calibration from there...you can do it yourself fairly easily...

It's using allcom software.

i know the l322 is a complicated car, but on my old d2 i disconnected the battery to change a bad height sensor, then reconnected the battery.
the car did'nt know any difference, and was told that should need recalibrating.
did this twice, no problem.
but then i suppose they built in something so as it's not easy.

I suppose in theory if you're very lucky and the new sensor is very close in tolerance to the old one, then in theory disconnecting the battery and changing it would work. But the odds of the sensor being near identical are very slim, so you'd end up with that corner sitting high or low as the new sensor will be sending a different reading to the ECU than it's expecting.

In practice though, you'd need a tool to tell the car the suspension level.

I got my indy to do it on Friday as a freebie whilst they had the car in pieces for its MOT anyway.

They said they then calibrated it but that corner is now sitting 4cm lower than the others...
