The mk 1's are silly money especially the flat floor one's and the 3.8's, but the 4.2 mk2's are better value and there is always the chance of a good mk 3 V12 drop head for that budget. Granted the Mk 3 will not go up in price as much as the earlier models, but they are still going up in price all the same.
I know a chap that races E Types, and prepares them for others, the last time I was there he had a hand built all aluminium bodied roadster with hard top (when I say all aluminium that is not entirely correct, it still had a steel bulkhead and sills, every thing else was ally) I didn't go there on the price Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
