I would say not ...... Not because of your high mileage but because the cost per mile saving will be negligible only 8-10k miles per yr.

a good kit (BRC/Prins) would cost you at least 2500, that's a about 2500 liter of petrol. Will you keep the car long enough to make an economical difference? If you do it for the money, forget it, if you do it to put your conscience at ease in that big V8 dinosaur then yes, go for it.

A new BRC/Prinz kit costs about £1000 - £1500 but then you'd have to fit it yourself, it's not hard to do just takes a bit of time....

I have a STAG system which Eminates from Poland. Has run faultlessly for over 5 years. Costs for this is £1200 upwards, depending on "extras" |

To be fair, there aren't really any bad systems out there, they all work fine... some are better made than others and last longer... mines a hybrid system with bits of all sorts but it works great...

I bought a 2003 4.4 v8 with a broken LPG system and travelled home (400 miles) from London to Glasgow on petrol costing £110. Got the Prins LPG up and running and travelled back down to London and back (880 miles) on LPG at a cost of £140 giving a saving of around £80 for 8-900 miles. It should therefore be possible to cover conversion costs in 2-3 years and by that time you will have a car which is easier to sell on having already got LPG.
