Thule Easy-fit Snow Chains

How easy are these to fit!

Don't know how easy they are but I was concerned that they would rub the wheel. Just got a new set of Konig zip T267, have fitted these quickly in a blizzard at the side of the road. letters not necessarily in the right order

I have been looking at the THULE K-SUMMIT XXL K67 for my 255/50R20 wheel/tyre combination.

Daft question time (probably) …are you supposed to fit them to the front or rear or both?

Front on the L322 for K67's

Gary has posted in the wrong section as the easy fit one won't go on the L405

Looks like they got them for the L322 sizes though

I've got Thule K77's

Those easy fit ones wouldn't go on the front though - they have chain around the back so would need to go on the rears

Manual says fronts - I don't know why it's not all 4 - maybe just a cost thing - but logic says all 4 would be better.

the vehicle owners handbook says rear only, but it also says you can't fit them on 20's. I think it specifies 19's for snow chains.

Does it ? You could well be correct, but I thought when I had an L322 it said 18 & 19's have chains on the rear & 20's had the traction system on the front.

I always assumed it was because front is better & you can't get chains on the front as there isn't the clearance....

Thanks for that information. I'm not collecting my first FFRR until Friday and just looking around to 'get ahead' as it were.

With all the issues surrounding chains (or variations thereof) and considering the amount of snow driving I won't be doing, I might even look at snow socks as a 'get me out of trouble' solution.
