Would really like to here from forum member with a 4.2 SC that has put some mods on there's, having had an AMG e55 that was heavily modified in a tasteful way am wondering what options I have? I would like the here the engine a little more, is that the height of bad taste?

not many do anything to their SC's as they are fine 'as is' , but a few have replaced the pulleys to give more lower end grunt,

I had a performance exhaust fitted on my last one, made it growl and take off much more, cat back as you don't touch the cats on a FFRR or engine light chaos starts

There is not much you can do to the engine, larger pulls on the SC, a map will only get another 20-30 BHP. For a lot of dosh

The induction has a maf on the intake assembly moulding so you limited, an electric boost turbine fitted into the air intake pipe below the filter to assist pressure feed is one I have seen done. This improves take off and torque, but fuelling is a impact you have to accept. Current vehicles

Think you've answered my questions and I appreciated it, I'll just continue to reduce my OCD tendencies with cosmetic improvements
Have to say, having owned a new RRS TVDV6 with AB kit, cams, sunroof, toe bar, etc. 3 years ago, I'm mighty impressed with this MY06 FFRR, I had the RRS in to Guy Salmon a couple of times due to lag when hitting the throttle, it verged on dangerous to pull out on to a road in traffic, the delay was huge, I even had it chipped but still dangerous in my opinion, so much so I sold it after 24 months, lost over £1k for every month I owned it
The 4.2 SC is similar to my old AMG, or any normal car for that matter, as soon as you touch the throttle, it wants to go, no delay what so ever, it's majestic, the ride height is perfect!!
