Sad day today. My best girl is off to the spanner hospital for some surgery. She's in good hands though as the surgeon Dr. Oli Filter has said a new ignition switch will bring her spark back, and that the new compressor will have her pert a*** back in the air and ready for action.
I can visit every day, so i'll be with her at the crucial moments when she wants a jump !!
Not quite sure if like the idea of her being on top of a strangers flat bed !!

Not a problem sir !! Compressor is yours. It does work fine, but it keeps flashing the usual suspension inactive message, so I assume the seals are wearing.

Compressor Woes... I had the drier etc replaced on mine.. it lasted another 12 months but in the end.... oh the joys of brilliantly working air suspension.. Its so quick it almost gives me whiplash!

Wish I had the luxury of being able to test the new compressor......
I've since found out something far worse that i think is going to cost me thousands
My son's work van had a flat battery, so as the Rangey had just had a new one fitted, he took mine off and duly jump started his van. Then kept the battery with him unbeknown to me (i was away working)
Anyway, I come to move the Range Rover so it can go to St Spanners medical centre and obviously it's dead as a dead thing....no battery (still with me so far?)
Anyway, I eventually see my son, after i'd thrown a lot of F***s at him, and tell him to put the battery back, rapido. After much huffing and muttering he goes and does it.
As he's doing it, the car is making all sorts of weird and wonderful noises....horn going, wipers, washers, lights. Tries to start it.......nothing except the noises and wet screen !
He comes back and tells me it wont start because of the ignition switch not working (remember that from the original post). So i call the AA to get her started and take her to the Spanner hospital.
AA turn up, i give him the keys and let him get on with it.
2 minutes later there's a knock on the door from Mr.AA man.....' Did you know the battery has been put on the wrong way? It's blown all the fuses. i'll see what i can do, but think its going to need recovery to the garage'

After picking myself up off the floor, i'm shouting and chasing round the house looking for my soon to be ex son, but he has immediately become the Hide and Seek champion on Manchester.
Car eventually goes to St Spanners as per pics, and the work for the compressor and ignition get done, along with new discs, pads and tyres all round.

Anyway, it's Christmas eve....and St Spanners phones me up 'You won't be seeing your Range Rover this side of January' had it out on a test drive and its totally flat. No power in it at all (it is a Supercharged !) i'll have to look deeper, but i think the battery issue has fried the ECUs. I don't know which one yet, but i'll be using your IID you lent me, and more diagnostics to see what the problem is. But you got major problems' (understatement of the Bl****ng year !!)

By now, my son has decided to become the North West Hide and Seek Champion, as i haven't seen him since.........
So the burning question is......Anyone got any ideas as to what could potentially be wrong, and what sort of costs?

And because Christmas is the time of good cheer and everyone deserves a laugh, i'll save your lagh till now.

I guess id depends on exactly which ECU's are knackered and how long it takes to figure it all out.

Might be worth trying to find one being broken for spares just in case the new ECU's are serious money
