Now I never expected my association with the FFRR to be a particularly cheap affair but having just sold my 13 Plate 3.0Tdv6 Autobiography and changed to a VSE with the same engine and having had a really good think about what I'd like in my car I came to the conclusion that one thing I would really miss is the winged headrests. That said it may be an experiment that will see me revert in 12 months time.

Fully understand that they are meant to be a safety feature but they are comfortable and so I contacted the dealer to enquire about a pair (just for the front). When he came back to me with the price I nearly £1,151.83 plus fitting, which he thought would take it to £1500......for two headrests. Think I'll get used to the standard ones

What fitting is there? Surely they just slide in?

im glad I specced up my vogue with winged headrests, very comfortable and 400 quid well spent for that option.

I also thought it is for constipation problem. Unfortunately, it is just an advertisement of a car. I do not know why they came up with that title. Anyway, Mr Tee if you have a problem with constipation just take the one I am using whenever I have constipation. Take this Digestic from Mimonis which was introduced also by a friend a few weeks ago. It is very effective for me and I hope for you also.

For what its worth when I had a day with a VSE model with the winged headrest, I found they gave me neck ache cos they pushed my head forward slightly. Discovery 4 HSE

Yes they are far more forward then the old ones but i prefer it... I can understand where your coming from as others have said the same after riding in mine

can a set of front headrests be converted into the winged type by a good trimmer does any one know? Thanks berty

Hi All. I read this thread with interest as I too wanted to retro some of the winged headrests myself, but only in the front as they are expensive although I did get a deal on some from a dealership. The were purchased from a dealership many miles away so asked the local dealership how much to fit, I was quoted 3.5 hours work which was almost £380 from memory. I managed to get some assistance in terms of instruction and granted whilst fiddly (hardest thing get the plastic bits off the seat) managed to fit the pair in around 15 mins tops!
