Poland 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue
Supercharged Tailpipes

I was wondering if any of you guys share my opinion that tailpipes in Supercharged fullfats look a bit out of place?

Not that it really affects me as I have a TDV8 with hidden exhaust but everytime I see a SC it looks strange, not really working well with FFRR lines, especially from the side. Looks like a plain straight pipe sticking out of somewhere underneath the car and not really well designed into how the side profile looks like.

I mean compare this:

Personally, I love the look of them.

They're subtle, which appeals to me. OK, so they're more obvious than the TDV8, but they provide a small visual distinction that only those in the know will spot.

The diameter is restrained, as a Range Rover should be and they're not 'shouty' in appearance as some other makes can be.

Saying that, I know a 25 year-old Muslim lady in Abu Dhabi. She took one look at a picture (rear three-quarter) of my SC and immediately knew mine was the Supercharged model. She's on her 5th (yes, 5th!!) Range Rover and drives a new 5.0SC RRS. Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

A man ain't truly been insulted until he stands buck naked in front of a woman and she didn't even notice. Or care.

If you do have the good fortune to possess a S/C then it is vital that the pipes are kept shiny. I have observed a few S/Cs with dull/cruddy tail pipes and they don't half let the side down! Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)
Galaxy 2001-2007
Mondeo Estate 1997-2001
Sierra Estate 1993-1997
Uno Turbo 1987 -1993
Fiesta 1984 - 1987
Fiat 127 1982 - 1984

Was in a supermarket car park this afternoon. A bloke in a BMW 3 series must have been so dazzled with my shiny pipes he went into the back of me. Luckily I keep my tow ball connected and it creased his splitter Hah! All at low speed I might add. Previous cars:

Its not as if your car is invisible, amazing what some people do or dont "I didnt see you there".
Thats the only reason I have fitted the alternative towing plate.

Mind you, thats no guarantee either, 2 weeks ago a sweet old lady in a Nissan Micra following me out of Morrisons car park (I was held up by roadworks and stationary) kept getting closer and closer finally realised i'd stopped and also stopped, I think the clue was 3 brake lights on, by then my rear sensors had gone off, she was that close.

Stan, as its Christmas your forgiven, ask Santa for a tube of Autosol.
