On my old L322 I used voice command 'screen off'. This turned the screen off (black) but if say radio was on, that still played etc. Might be worth trying that, you never know, they may have carried it over to the L405. It's the only voice command I ever used as it saved me pressing 4 buttons to achieve the same. Steve

My Boxster allows a choice of displays. I have coolant temperature, oil temperature and oil pressure. But you can scroll through to different items such as media playing or radio station, navigation or telephone. You can also choose the Porsche equivalent of the LR menu options. I would far rather have a choice like this, some of which may replicate the centre screen that a boring green LR oval. |

You can have the screen fully off, you can have it show an image of the car, the map, an analogue clock and various trip computer functions. Hence my question. |

I had understood the OP to be asking about the Green LR oval directly in front of the steering wheel rather than the infotainment screen in the centre of the car. If I am right then I don't think that the options you refer to are available |

Ah, I see what you mean. Put the all terrain system into manual? |

Not just a pretty face Mong but wrong, it shows a picture of the car side on for a minute and goes back to the green oval, and funnily enough I know its a Land Rover. letters not necessarily in the right order |

Ah sorry Dixy, I had misunderstood and was thinking of the central screen, so ignore my suggestions. I know what you mean now, I can only think of one suggestion though: leave radio on and turn the volume to zero , you'll hear nothing, will see the radio station name between the dials, but at least it doesn't stand out like the green oval. May be slightly better. Steve

Found another solution, drive around with less than a gallon of fuel, it then shows a really bright yellow petrol pump. letters not necessarily in the right order |
