Friday night daughters Macbook pro has given up the ghost for some reason she gets a flashing question mark constantly on a grey screen have tried all sorts of re-booting via Apple's forum to no avail ....

Yesterday afternoon wifey drops her iPhone 5S in water , did the usual advice via the internet .. put it in a sealed bag with rice to dry out for 24 hours ... that too has not worked ...

So looks like a trip to the shops tomorrow for a new Macbook Pro and a new iPhone 6s no friggin doubt

How old is the Macbook ?

If you have an Apple store anywhere nearby, might be worth booking a genius bar appointment & see what they can do ?

wet iPhone... take it apart... lots of youtubes on that... take the battery out, wash phone well in distilled water then bake in the oven.. (not the battery) 120deg C for 30 mins.. put back together... did my daughters 5 when she flushed it down the toilet, luckily it didn't go round the bend... still working a year later....  Pete

MacBook might have a dead hard drive....
Agree, an apple visit and maybe a report, might then steer you to a laptop repairer, with symptom diagnosed, or Apple might give you discount trade in.
Also, dead MacBooks sell on eBay. Find out how to remove hard drive first.
