Cloth seats

I have cloth seats in my 2004 rangie and the drivers bolster is showing signs of wear.
Anyone any ideas where I could have this fixed, ideally here in the Northwest UK

Unless there is a particular reason you want to keep the cloth seats, replacing them with a set of second hand leather ones is probably a cheaper option.

If you really want to keep the cloth, then have you tried a main dealer for a new seat cover? They're fairly easy to fit.

I like the cloth seats so want to keep them. It is only the bolster thats worn so was hoping there was someone out there that could replace that.
I will contact Landrover for a price on a full cover, didn't think of that Embarassed

i expect they were the standard spec in basic SE specs, most cars in the UK seem to be Vogue and above with a spattering of HSE's, which would explain why cloth seats are rare. It's a bit like V8 jaguars with manual gearboxes, not many people bothered to spec them when ordering new.

I would think ex Police and Highways Agency etc were SE's, you don't even see many of those about.

For me i love leather seats, but cloth has a couple of advantages. It's not scratched easily by dogs and it's not sticky on hot days. But it's not as hard wearing/easy to repair (as you've found). Which is why a lot of old Rolls-Royces had leather front seats and cloth rears.

The car is a HSE and the seats were a special order I believe.
Another advantage is not cold when you first get in on a chilly morning.
Pretty hardwearing, as other than the drivers bolster they are perfect. Not bad for 11 years and 130,000 miles.

I am guessing the cloth was an expensive option as leather was standard on the HSE
