No chance Mick. I've driven one and they're quicker than 285hp might indicate. The power delivery is relentless with no gearchanges and massive amounts of torque. Looks wise I thought it was very like the Jag XF and the interior quality is up there with the Jag too. Range of over 350 miles claimed but probably driving like Miss Daisy to get that. Just the 75k price tag that put me off TBH. |

I did some demo drives in them, from 0-60 little accelerates faster, from 0-30 I doubt anything does!

I suspect if I lived with one I would come down on his side of the fence, virtually zero cost per extra mile travelled makes an attractive proposition.

"brutal acceleration"...that's the exact phrase the chap in the adjacent office used, and he's an M-Power fan by all accounts. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........ |

I've a mate who works for Tesla in San Fran, been out there a few times and experienced the wonder of the P85D... 0-60 <3 sec, the mid range shove (say, 30-90) is intoxicating, squirting through gaps in the traffic. Range seems solid at 300 miles using it with gusto from time to time. Amazing thing. But costly to buy. Thinking about one for the wife. She does lots of miles but it is mainly local with a "return to base" at the end of the day.

In my mind, the biggest question would be about the residuals. Do they hold their value or are they still too new and scarce to tell yet?

I'm with the Emperor - all the jobs would fall to me and any and all problems would be my fault. She currently puts her own petrol in and long may that continue Geoff |
