My new not so shiny.

Took the plunge again. 94 efi. 66k genuine miles but the rust monster has got hold.

I feel 12 months of love and care is required but it will be worth it. Thumbs Up

Lovely colour. Only pic I have of mine. She's a little older than yours and in a much worse condition.




I only got her for the chassis and drivetrain to turn it into a Defender. Got 12 month use of her before a massive MoT failure. Basically everything is rotten on the body shell around all the mounts.

I'll be stripping mine down to chassis and getting rid of everything so if there are parts you need let me know.

Thanks for the kind words (and sympathy).

Jobs done in last couple weeks, new bearings front and rear, CV joint oil, new disks and pads front and rear (but can't get front calliper pistons to retract so looks like new required but might have a go at overhaul), drained front and rear axles - should be 1.7 litres - got that from front but rear wouldn't have filled an egg cup! - rear drive shaft splines looked ok thou.

Just sourced half decent bonnet and tailgate from the bay of e.

Nice chap who sold the bonnet had also just put an entire vogue SE interior up for auction - spotless door cards with matching burr walnut dash, centre console, half decent headlining, totally unmarked leather seats front and rear - he sold the lot for £200.!!!!! Censored Censored 1 day too late!!
